These are the services B2 Engineering specializes in.
- B2 Engineering focuses on structural engineering of wood, steel, and concrete structures
- B2 Engineering designs retaining walls
- B2 Engineering consults on problems with existing structures
What we may do
These would be included only if specifically mentioned in our fee agreement.
- B2 Engineering may make engineering measurements of existing structure and existing topography
- B2 Engineering may do civil sitework design
- B2 Engineering may hire land surveyors on subcontract as part of the overall design
- B2 Engineering may hire geotechnical engineers on subcontract as part of the overall design
- B2 Engineering may offer project management services
What we won’t do
These scope exclusions help to define what is included.
- B2 Engineering does not provide architectural design. We don’t draw house plans
- B2 Engineering engineering is not a land surveyor
- B2 Engineering is not a geotechnical engineer
- B2 Engineering does not design the soil beyond a building’s foundation
- B2 Engineering does not provide other disciplines of engineering such as mechanical, electrical, plumbing, acoustical, fire protection…
- B2 Engineering is not a cost estimator; however, B2 Engineering plans may be used to develop your cost estimates
- B2 Engineering does not design roofing, waterproofing, or vapor retarders
- B2 Engineering does not apply for building permits and manage the relationship between the Owner and the Building Permit Official
- B2 Engineering does not supervise construction
other exclusions
When the fee agreement is by lump sum
- The fee is for doing the design only once
- Construction phase services are not included in the design fee and are added on a time and expense basis as needed
